Residential Trash and Recycling

Salisbury Township residents are required to dispose of trash and recyclable materials through a licensed hauler.

Residents are able to use any hauler that they can find and contract to service their property.  If a hauler other than the three that we have listed below, is contracted to remove waste from a property, we ask that the Township please be informed also, so that we can add them to our list for other residents to possibly use.

We currently have 4 licensed haulers within Salisbury Township to dispose of waste and to collect your recyclables, they are:

Eagle Disposal: 717-355-9560

Cauler Containers: 717-806-0991 - their coverage area is any residence with a Gap, Paradise, and Kinzer zip code.

B.L.C. Disposal: 717-696-9453

Good's Disposal Service: 717-859-1879

You may obtain a recycling bin, free of charge, at the Township Building.  In the bins you can put plastic and glass containers, aluminum and steel cans and corrugated cardboard.  You may also get battery bags at the Township Office to collect household batteries.  After the bag is full, place out next to your trash can for the hauler to pick up.  If you have tires or white goods to dispose of, the Lancaster County Solid Waste Management Authority is able to process these.

Salisbury Township also has a yard waste recycling facility located at 5581 Old Philadelphia Pike. Items you may bring include branches, tree trimmings, leaves, shrubbery, etc.  We DO NOT accept grass. Please contact the Township Office in order to obtain an access code to use the facility.  These items may NOT be burned.

We would appreciate your cooperation in choosing a licensed hauler to dispose of your waste.

As a licensed hauler they are responsible for collecting and transporting regulated municipal waste and designated recyclable materials. The licensed hauler must maintain a valid license from Lancaster County Solid Waste Management Authority (LCSWMA). They have also agreed to comply with all LCSWMA’s rules and regulations and comply with the Township Ordinance.

The Lancaster County Solid Waste Management Authority also has many recycling opportunities.  Check them out at www.lcswma.org

Please feel free to contact LCSWMA if you have any questions or need additional information (717) 397-9968.  The Household Hazardous Waste Facility accepts many different items free of charge (computers, paints, batteries, cell phones, chemicals, etc.)
